Samsung is making it very clear that they are not going for simple looking and straight forward smartphones only. They have been very active recently in innovating their smart devices, be it smartphones or smart watches, this can be seen in their newly launched smartphone Galaxy Note Edge.
Samsung has come up with a unique bending screen which takes inspiration from the company's bendable OLED concept. This not only gives Samsung Galaxy Edge a unique look, but according to Samsung this part of the screen could change the way we interact with our smartphone.
The screen curves on the right side of the smartphone keeping the rest of the screen flat. The curved has the functionality to show notifications and updates from apps, messages, can be used for showing time and weather updates and you can also open up varies apps using it.
Samsung is trying to utilise this space as much as possible by teaming up with various devs and software makers to increase functionality of the curved screen and not just make it a "show off" thing.
Most of the other features are same as that of Galaxy Note 4, which is launched along with it.
The phone comes with a 16 MP of rear camera and 3.7 MP on the front side, and has 5.6" QHD display and S Pen functionality.
Samsung has not yet revealed the launch date and price of the phone, but it is expected to be launched at the end of the year and will be priced a bit higher than Note 4. However, only time will tell whether Galaxy Note Edge gives Samsung an "Edge" over the competition or not.
